  1. Just making use of the apples I still get from the tree in my back garden. These are tasty fried bites with chunks of apple and a sugary cinnamon treat, the apples keep the batter moist so stay tasty!

    **Ingredients**

    * Oil for frying
    * 1 1/2 cups plain flour
    * 1 tbsp sugar
    * 2 tsp baking powder
    * 1/2 tsp salt
    * 2/3 cup milk
    * 2 eggs, beaten
    * 1 tbsp oil
    * 3 cups apples, peel, core, chop
    * Brown sugar
    * Ground cinnamon

    **Directions**

    1. Heat the oil in a frier, pan or whatever you have
    2. In a large stir the flour, sugar, baking powder & salt. Pour in the milk, eggs and oil, mix until blended. Mix in the chopped apples until all coated.
    3. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the heated oil and fry until golden on both sides. Do in small batches.
    4. Remove from oil with a slotted spoon and place onto kitchen paper.
    5. Coat in brown sugar/cinnamon mix whilst still hot.

    **Note:** Could use cinnamon sugar if you can find it.

    Makes 20 odd bites but you’ll find they don’t last between batches if you’re anything like me 😛
